How to Make Big Decisions for Your Career
A panel discussion between four industry members exploring how to make big decisions. We will discuss times when each panel member has had to make a “Big Decision” and the steps they used to consider options. They will give advice to young professionals as to how to make decisions that will impact their own careers. We will open the floor to questions from the audience for an interactive conversation.

Suzanne received both her undergraduate degree and Ph.D. in Geological Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Suzanne is an ACEC-BC Board Member and the past Vice-President Technical of the Canadian Geotechnical Society.
Senior Geotechnical Engineer, BGC Engineering
Andrea Lougheed is a senior geotechnical engineer specializing in soil mechanics for a diverse range of geotechnical engineering projects. She has extensive local and national committee and board experience and recipient of several awards.
Senior Vice President, Transportation Practice, Tetra Tech Canada
Highly qualified, practical, hands-on leader with 31 years’ experience in the Construction Industry in Ireland, UK and Canada, having worked as a Contractor for over 20 years; for Provincial Government for 2 years, and as a Consultant in Alberta since 2011.
Bridge Engineering Manager, McElhanney
David has worked in both bridge construction and consulting, including the Port Mann, Pitt River, Lions Gate, and Burrard Bridges. He enjoys spending time with his family, including exploring outdoors with his 2.5 yr old daughter.
